Nuture
Least Terns are the most tender of all shorebirds. The photograph speaks for itself.
To participate in conservation of the Least Tern species, you can make a conscious effort not to litter because it attracts predators, such as raccoons, foxes, black-backed gulls and not to bring your dogs to the beaches unleashed during breeding season (early June to August). Also, report to your local Department of Environmental Conservation of any activity that would threaten the livelihood of any species.
