Perspective
Two out of the three Piping Plover chicks were foraging before me (the 3rd was up farther) and the swimmers in the background knew the chicks were there because I asked them to move down a ways to swim and once they saw the chicks and how fragile they were, the kids were more than compliant to do so.
I certainly feel when you photograph at a birds eye level with Piping Plover chicks, it lends you the perspective on how big our world is to them.
